For the broken who never had a voice
For those who’ve been left out
For those seeking validation making others proud
Are you waiting to be found?
Accept your indifference
Consider you’re unique
We all acknowledge beauty
Beauty’s more than your physique
Explore your character
You may be surprised what you find
As life unveils more, redefine your fine line
No metric for the undiscovered inside of your spirit
Silence your mind and one day you might hear it
Eliminate distractions
Rebuild your new castle
Past mistakes anchoring you down, they can be such a hassle
Start with belief, it has served me well
No destination to blame, you’re creating your own hell
We’re so hard on ourselves, wouldn’t you agree?
It could be difficult offering ourselves encouragement during the most vicious of times. Losing our voices, muffled in shame, rapt in insecurity, insulated in emotions. Emotions that have the ability to swallow us from the inside out, if we allow it.
Selfish or selfless. What are the boundaries? At what point does our self preservation and our prioritization of the self become too selfish? At what point do we become selfless where EVERYBODY gains our consideration, and occupies our time to the point where we forget ourselves?
For those of us hurt. Are we waiting to be found because the pain of searching becomes unbearable? Would we be further reassured by a persons willingless to accept us on their own accord? Without our begging? Yes we’ve been beat, but we are far from beaten. Broken does not rule out the possibility of recovery in any way shape or form in my belief. What about yours?
We’re so rough on ourselves for a version of ourselves that is only fleeting and temporary. Once the times passes we don’t get it back. How will you spend yours moving forward? The human spirit is quite fascinating to me, although a million people will direct you in a million different ways on the topic, I encourage you to explore for yourself, and truth be told, what lies beneath in you… is well worth your investment.
“Don’t judge your greatness by your shadow at sunset.” —Pythagoras
We are the walking wounded… We are also healing, evolving, and moving forward as well as we can. To keep moving, that’s key.
Thank you! A manifesto 🙏❤️
